The drug will be available in pharmacies without a prescription from April 1, 2025, according to the FDA. The agency said the move is part of a larger initiative to make drug purchases more affordable for consumers. The initiative is aimed at saving up to $150 per month from drug purchases and could help the FDA regulate the drug.
The FDA is already considering the possibility of using the new drug with a prescription from a doctor or pharmacy. “I don’t know about you, but it would be helpful if you could explain that to the FDA,” Klee said. “It would be helpful if they could say that there are no restrictions on how much medication they could dispense.”
The FDA says it has received many reports of adverse effects from the drug’s use. The agency has also seen a decrease in the number of cases of erectile dysfunction reported by patients taking Viagra Connect. “This is a sign of an ongoing trend that’s changing how doctors are treating patients,” said Dr. Robert N. Fendrick, a board certified urologist and president of the American Urological Association. “We are seeing a greater need for effective treatments to manage ED, and we are seeing new cases of patients who are not responding to the best medications.”
This past April, a study by researchers at the University of Washington, which was carried out on more than 2,300 men with ED, found that a drug that can treat ED was associated with a significantly higher rate of erectile dysfunction, even after adjusting for other risk factors such as age, smoking, and obesity.
The FDA has already approved a similar drug called Viagra Connect, the first drug to be approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The FDA has not approved Viagra Connect since its approval in 1998. Viagra Connect is not a medicine for the treatment of ED.
The FDA has also taken steps to help increase the availability of drugs for the U. S. market, including a drug study that will examine whether the drug is safe and effective for use in the U.
